How A Private Club Community Fosters Friendships

Over time, our social circles tend to dwindle. We graduate, move, change careers, and grow out of touch with old friends. As an adult, it can be difficult to not only maintain friendships, but create new ones. Without the structure of school or work, it’s challenging to find like-minded individuals that you enjoy spending time with.

Fortunately, a private club environment provides the structure to help members become fast friends. Lancaster Country Club helps members forge lasting bonds through our regular social events, sports, food, and legacy community.

1. Social events

It can feel intimidating walking up to a group of strangers and saying, “I’m Stacey. What’s your name?” It’s easier to strike up conversations (and friendships) in the context of an activity or event. Luckily, Lancaster Country Club’s extensive social calendar gives you plenty of opportunities to connect with other members.

Attend events like:

  • Independence Day Celebration
  • Children’s Halloween Carnival
  • Home For The Holidays Christmas Party
  • New Year’s Eve Party
  • Fête en Blanc Summer Soirée

Our club also boasts adventurous tastings with events like our popular fall and spring Progressive Dinners when members enjoy each course of a meal at a different location on the golf course. Other fun events bring members together to watch the big game or grab a casual bite.

2. Sports

Have a competitive side to your personality? LCC includes several sports complexes and amenities that are perfect for bonding with your newfound acquaintances. Lounge on a chaise by the pool and catch up with friends or challenge your buddies to a friendly race in our lap pool.

With a dozen racquet sport courts between paddle ball, Har-Tru, and hard courts, it's easy to watch the fun from our upper deck or join in the action. Our hard courts are enclosed in the winter months to allow for year-round play.

If you care for a round of golf, explore the 27-hole golf course with other aficionados, bonding over your love of the game. Our Invitational Member-Guest Tournament is a competitive but fun way to show off your golf skills while bonding with other members.

3. Socialize over delicious food and drinks

If you’re a little shy, food and drinks are a great way to connect with other members. Nothing bonds people faster than good food, and Lancaster Country Club has no shortage of delicious meals on the menu. Join friends at the Flynn Bar and Grille for drinks after a game of golf or grab a quick snack together at the Stingray Pool Cafe after doubles tennis.

4. Belong to something greater than yourself

Lancaster Country Club is not only your home away from home, but our culture is set up to help you connect with other like-minded members who want to make friends.

A private club community helps you bond with others over a shared set of values. Lancaster Country Club is perfect for forging strong friendships that last the test of time.

LCC is here to help you forge a legacy in our inclusive and diverse community. Members’ children grow up together in tight-knit social circles that extend well beyond the well-kept grounds of LCC.

The bottom line

Private club communities like Lancaster Country Club build strong, lifelong bonds. When you join a club, participate in everything it has to offer. Get out of your shell, make new friends, and feel right at home the minute you step foot at the club.
